Revival of Pakistan
film industry is still a question that needs to be answered. In recent years
many new filmmakers try and still trying to make good films but it is rare that
their work has been appreciated by the audience. There are many reasons that films
are unable to do good business or recover their cost and one reason is that
over the years thousands of
cinema houses across the country converted into commercial plazas and markets
but now change is coming as new cinemas are opening in country. The numbers of
films that are made in recent years is very less there was not even a single
film in 2012, only four in 2013,there is not much progress in numbers of film
released in 2014 as 5,6 films released and only Namaloom Afraad did
exceptionally well on box office.
In
recent times films like Bol, Waar, Na Maloom
Afraad, Dukhtar, Zinda Bhaag and Khuda ka liye show a clear improvement in the scripts, the screenplay, direction and
every aspect of the movie but still there is room for improvement. The Indian
films also support Pakistani cinemas as Pakistan film industry is not producing
enough films but we should be carefull that Indian films should support
Pakistani cinema not replace it.
In 2015 starting 4
months only two Pakistani films has been released the films are Good morning
Karachi and Jalaibee but there are many films that are in pipeline and ready to
release in 2015 some of them are Jawani Phir Nahi Ani,Ho Man Jahan,Mah-e-Meer,Yalghaar,Wrong
Number,Kambakht,Moor,Revenge of Worthless,Main Manto,Bin Roye Anso and many
more. More and more new faces are being introduced in upcoming movies.
Revival of Pakistan film industry is not
possible until and unless we go and watch our films and support our own
content.
